Fried pickled herring
Ingredients Serves: 4-6 people
- 700 g of fresh herring
- flour
- onion
- frying oil
- 1 glass of white wine vinegar
- 6 Cloves
- Sea salt
- a few grains allspice
- 1/2 tsp Ground black pepper
- a few grains White mustard
- 3 pcs. Bay leaves
Sprinkle the herring with salt and pepper.
Put in the fridge for 2 days.
Cut the onion into thin slices.
Heat the oil in a frying pan.
Dip the fillets in flour, put them on the hot fat.
Fry for a few minutes on both sides until golden brown.
Boil the vinegar with a glass of water and all the spices.
Arrange the fried herring in layers in a glass salad bowl, arranging them with onion.
Pour hot pickle. Cool well.
