Garam Masala Chicken

Spicy, aromatic and very quick to make. Reheating adds flavor, and if you find that there is not enough sauce, you can always just add a tablespoon of cream. The perfect dish for dinner with friends.


  • 1 kg. chicken fillets
  • 1 double cream 250ml
  • ½ a bunch of dill (optional)


  • 4 Teaspoons Garam Masala
  • 4 cloves of garlic (finely chopped or squeezed through a press)
  • 4 tablespoons of oil


Preparation: Wash the chicken fillets, rub them on a paper towel, cut them into medium cubes. Combine the marinade ingredients and mix them thoroughly. Put the chopped chicken into the resulting thick paste. We mix thoroughly so that each piece of chicken is covered with spices. Put aside in a cool place, min. 2 hours, preferably overnight.

We heat up a deep pan and put the chicken on it.
We fry on high heat on all sides. Then reduce the heat and stew for about 15 minutes, covered.

Finally, add the cream and mix thoroughly, it should form a thick, dark yellow sauce. We stew for 5 more minutes.
Serve sprinkled with chopped dill, parsley or coriander.
It tastes great with noodles, rice or fahit patties.
