Potato Cake
Delicate potato mass baked with aromatic smoked meat - the recipe for potato cake is passed down from generation to generation. Potato cake can be eaten immediately after preparation, but it tastes best when it is cooled down and fried the next day.
Ingredients Serves: 4-6 people
- 1 kg of potatoes
- 2 onions
- 300 g of smoked meat (bacon, sausage, other cold cuts) or minced meat)
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2-3 eggs
- 3 tablespoons of wheat flour
- 3 teaspoons Marjoram
- Sea salt
- Black pepper

Grate the potatoes and one onion on the finest grater and strain them into a fine strainer.
In a frying pan, fry the finely chopped smoked meat and onion.
Press two cloves of garlic into the squeezed potatoes, add eggs, flour, marjoram, season with salt and pepper, mix.
Put 2/3 of the dough on the oblong baking tray, place the fried smoked meat, cover with the remaining dough.
Bake for about 90 minutes. at 180 degrees Celsius
