Thyme - application and healing properties. Thyme for sinus pain

The severe headache associated with sinusitis helps to get rid of thyme. It has a diastolic and strong antiseptic effect, which is why it is used in natural medicine as a natural remedy for respiratory infections. To relieve sinus pain, drink one or two teaspoons of thyme three times a day. Pour boiling water over it and set aside for 10 minutes, then drink it in small sips. Inhalations are also a good method. Add a few teaspoons of thyme or a few drops of thyme oil to a bowl of hot water and inhale for a few minutes while sitting with your head covered with a towel.

Thyme as antibiotics

Rubbing a decoction of thyme into the hair is said to prevent baldness in middle-aged people.

The antibacterial properties of thyme are helpful in treating acne and other skin conditions. To cleanse the skin with thyme infusion, simply brew the herb (e.g. in a tea mug, in the amount of: 1 teaspoon of thyme per cup of boiling water) and cover it for a few minutes. When the infusion has cooled down, rinse clean skin with it.

Thyme is also a source of flavonoids - antioxidants that help cleanse the body of all kinds of toxins and free radicals. Therefore, it will help us detox. The substances contained in thyme also lower blood pressure and support cell regeneration, which helps to slow down the aging process. The use of thyme improves the work of the nervous system.

Attention!

Thyme should not be used by pregnant women. When too much thyme oil enters the mother's body, premature uterine contractions may occur. Thyme can lower blood sugar. Thyme oil is considered toxic and therefore should not be taken internally. It includes, among others an essential oil called thymol. If consumed in excess, it leads to intoxication and even damage to the liver, kidneys and heart.
