Turkey skewers with lemon and lemon balm sauce
This time we propose a light dinner dish in which the aroma of Provencal herbs reigns. We have added a stronger accent to the skewers - lemon-melissa sauce based on yoghurt, which perfectly complements the taste of the skewers.
Ingredients Serves: 4 people
- 400 g of thick turkey breasts
- 2 peppers (e.g. red and green)
- 2 red onions
- 1 lemon
- a handful of fresh lemon balm
- oil for sprinkling on skewers
- 2 teaspoons Provencal herbs
- 1 teaspoon of chili
- pepper
- salt
Dice the turkey meat, remove the seeds and white membranes from the peppers, then cut the peppers into cubes approximately the size of turkey meat.
Cut the red onions into large pieces. Stir the prepared ingredients alternately on skewer sticks, starting with red onion and ending with red onion. Sprinkle the skewers with oil, sprinkle with Provencal herbs, season with pepper and salt. Massage the herbs, salt and pepper into skewers.
Heat the grill pan very much until it starts to smoke slightly. Grill the skewers in a pan without fat for 2 minutes on each side.
Then put the skewers in the oven preheated to 170C for 6-8 minutes. With the skewers in the oven, prepare the sauce. 200 - 250ml. combine thick natural yoghurt with the juice squeezed from one lemon, add a handful of finely chopped fresh lemon balm, chili, salt and mix.
Ready skewers remove from oven and serve with yoghurt sauce.
